I always remember the netherworld senate from Disgaea whom you would have to curry favor with at least until you were strong enough to bully them around and essentially be a despot they hated. Random quests work like this already, but some kind of congressional body whose members get appointed by the populace in real time and whom you can either oblige or bribe (or assassinate) would be neat. I might try to make a stab at it once tools are available.ġ) First, as this is something I've been complaining about for months: ways to clean up pollution before the Cold War era so my population stops dying from living in filth.Ģ) The return of building designs from Tropico 4, which I think looked really good.ģ) A Tropico Senate/Parliament where different factions push legislation at you that you can either approve or veto. Obviously a large project so I don't expect it to go anywhere. I don't know anything about modding, but I live in Alaska and know a fair amount about living in northern climates (and oddly tourism in such climates) if anyone wants to try this project. Ideally most changes would be easily implemented using already existing tools. Probably the hardest part would be creating new art assets. Most buildings could remain the same as they are now. Reduces effectiveness of related buildings and capitalist approval. Causes replenishing resources (wood, fish, game/berries if added) to replenish faster. Add a "Fish and wildlife management" edict. Increases capitalist approval and decreases environmentalist approval. Add a "fishing season advertising" edict for modern times that increases tourism and fish/shellfish prices but slowly depletes all fish nodes. Change rum to vodka (obviously using potatoes instead) Instead of pirates, add in bear and moose attacks (frequent, but only a small number at a time and continue though the modern era). Natural disasters: More volcanoes and earthquakes. remove the beach attraction and add sled dog tours maybe? Change out the Cabana with an Ice Hotel Some tourist buildings would need to be changed as well. (change pineapples to cabbage maybe? The giant cabbage at the fair last year was 84 pounds) Other crop types would have to be adjusted to match as well. Corn producing buildings would change the crop to potatoes and otherwise be unchanged Maps would need to be mineral, oil, and fish rich Coconut collector could be replaced with either a hunter or forager So instead of a tropical island, you have an arctic island.
